Wiping Up Residue Once you move into your new home, take some time to check inside your cabinets and drawers. The management most likely had pest control take care of any extra roommates after the last tenant left, but you can never be too sure if the pesticides are harmful to people. Get a dishrag and wipe inside your drawers and cabinets. Moving Into the City If you're moving into an urban environment for the first time, there are a few things you should be prepared for. Parking is one factor you should take into consideration. If you're relocating to a dense city where parking is typically a premium, be sure to check in advance about any restrictions you may encounter on moving day. Also, if you're moving into an apartment complex, you should keep security in mind. Leaving the door propped open can pose a risk to your neighbors.
