Loading the Trailer If you’re loading your boxes into a truck, be sure to get the heavier items inside first and the lighter items towards the back of the truck. This will prevent your truck from being unbalanced. Also, load the truck a quarter at a time and fit everything as tightly together as possible. Open Lines of Communication You should always have open lines of communication with your driver and moving coordinator in order to provide loading details, and whether or not the client still intends on moving everything on the estimate. Be sure to have your phone turned off late on moving day or better yet, late the next day. Save Money, Eat In Moving takes a lot of time, especially packing. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't take some time to cook your own food. Eating fast food can be expensive, particularly if you're doing it day after day. This is also the best time for you to eat all of your frozen food given that perishable items can't be transported by movers. Also, canned food is a pain to pack and transport. You should finish them off as well. Coping with Your Move If your partner or spouse is moving, chances are you'll be moving as well. Although it may be difficult to suddenly uproot and move to a different city, there are ways to make the relocation transition easier on you. One simple way of keeping yourself buoyant during this transition includes finding new opportunities to explore and practice what you love in your new city. Find like-minded people who share the same passion and network. Making new friends who share the same passion as you can help dull the separation anxiety you feel for your old home.

Don't use this company!

This business is as sleazy as they come. The owner, Dan, tries to bilk you of extra money at every chance. Once they got my belongings to my new home, Dan wanted $2,000 more than the original price. When I said I wouldn't pay any extra, he threatened to have the moving men stay until I agreed to the new price. I said I would call the police because they were trespassing, and he finally backed down. He was verbally abusive, nasty, and even refused to back his own employee's estimate.

It was a horrible experience!
