Properly Packing Boxes Keep in mind that your movers will more than likely inspect your boxes for safety reasons. On moving day, be sure to single out which boxes require careful handling as you go through your inventory. Movers will also point out any boxes they think aren’t properly packed. If this happens, the mover will likely suggest that the boxes in question need to be repacked or reinforced. And label your boxes with which room they are to go into at destination. This will help during the unpacking as the boxes will be in the correct area. Preparing Pots and Pans for Moving Although pots and pans vary in size, you can usually nest about three of each together in a single carton. Make sure you have large enough pieces of packing paper to cover the entire interior of your largest pan and leave some cushioning on the bottom of the crate. The first pot or pan you place inside the box should be the smallest in size. The pan or pot should be upside down with several sheets of packing paper on top of it before you stack the next one. Once you've stacked three, fill the spaces with packing material to prevent shifting.
