Weigh Down the Washer Machine If you’re planning on moving your washer machine, you can weigh down the appliance to keep it from moving around by filling it with blankets, pillows, hand towels, and other similar items. Loading the Trailer If you’re loading your boxes into a truck, be sure to get the heavier items inside first and the lighter items towards the back of the truck. This will prevent your truck from being unbalanced. Also, load the truck a quarter at a time and fit everything as tightly together as possible. Moving Pets by Plane This may seem obvious, but you should try to book a direct flight for your pet to minimize the time your pet spends sitting outside. Some of the times you will need to have handy in order to transport your pet include a health certificate from the vet and a pet container. Some airlines offer their own container which meets airline regulations. Be sure to check with your airline of choice beforehand. Also, a good way to reassure and comfort your pet for the flight is by giving it something you wear, such as an old sweater.
