Doctor's Orders If you’re moving to a completely different city, be sure to ask your doctor or your health insurance company to refer a care provider for you. Items Not Recommended To Move The following are items you should not leave for the movers to transport: -Financial documents -Certificates of deposit -IRA’s-Stocks-Bonds-Airline tickets-Car keys-Address books-Checkbook-Computer disk storage-Family photographs-Wedding albums-Personal video tapes-Insurance policies-Deeds-Prescription medications-Medical and dental records-School records-Documents pertaining to new home-Open containers such as shampoos, dish soap, and liquor are not recommended because they may leak.-Candles are not recommended because they may melt and cause damage to other property. The Price Isn't Always Right Low cost movers do exist as impossible as it may seem. Unfortunately, like all good things, it requires a little time and searching on your part. Keep in mind however, just because a carrier is offering a ridiculously low cost estimate, that doesn’t make them the best choice. Referrals, reviews, and investigation are still needed for the final verdict. Short on Boxes? If you find yourself short on boxes, you can always acquire heavier carton boxes from liquor stores, super markets, paper warehouses or mail order supply houses. Some moving supply companies offer used boxes for lower prices as well.
