Your Emergency Backpack It’s a good idea to have an emergency kit or backpack ready as you move to your new home. You should reserve this backpack for unforeseen cases and pack it appropriately with all of the essential items. For example, you should have a small toiletry kit, bottles of water, a change of clothing, a first aid kid, and a flashlight in there. Banking Have you visited your bank yet? Be sure to make all of the necessary accommodations before you leave, such as transferring and closing accounts. Taking Inventory Taking inventory is a great way of organizing and managing all of the different tasks you have to keep track of, and if you format it in a checklist style, you can easily separate the things you have yet to do and what you’ve already completed. Also, make note of the conditions of your belongings so that you have something to refer to once your belongings have been transported to your new home. Preparing Pots and Pans for Moving Although pots and pans vary in size, you can usually nest about three of each together in a single carton. Make sure you have large enough pieces of packing paper to cover the entire interior of your largest pan and leave some cushioning on the bottom of the crate. The first pot or pan you place inside the box should be the smallest in size. The pan or pot should be upside down with several sheets of packing paper on top of it before you stack the next one. Once you've stacked three, fill the spaces with packing material to prevent shifting.

Graf Van & Storage The movers in the field are pretty nice guys but the office do... 2.0
The movers in the field are pretty nice guys but the office does nothing in the event of a claim. We had damaged goods and received the run around for months without returned phone calls or emails. If you have a claim, Be prepaired to deal with 2 or 3 of their insurance companies that all work for each other and shuffle you around. They make you an unrealistic low ball settlement offer and then never even pay that! This company sounds like a major mover with the United name, but subcontracts to other movers to do the work. Their real name should be Shaft Movers. One star is too much for this two bit operation.
