Registering In a New State When you’re moving long distance, you should prioritize what items should be packed first amongst other considerations. Registering your car is also something to be aware of since you’ll assumedly be crossing into another state. Remember that each state has its own set of rules in terms of vehicle registration and tags, so be sure to research it prior to your move. That way, you can take the necessary steps once you’re there.
Taking Inventory Taking inventory is a great way of organizing and managing all of the different tasks you have to keep track of, and if you format it in a checklist style, you can easily separate the things you have yet to do and what you’ve already completed. Also, make note of the conditions of your belongings so that you have something to refer to once your belongings have been transported to your new home.
Moving Pets by Plane This may seem obvious, but you should try to book a direct flight for your pet to minimize the time your pet spends sitting outside. Some of the times you will need to have handy in order to transport your pet include a health certificate from the vet and a pet container. Some airlines offer their own container which meets airline regulations. Be sure to check with your airline of choice beforehand. Also, a good way to reassure and comfort your pet for the flight is by giving it something you wear, such as an old sweater.
Save Money, Eat In Moving takes a lot of time, especially packing. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't take some time to cook your own food. Eating fast food can be expensive, particularly if you're doing it day after day. This is also the best time for you to eat all of your frozen food given that perishable items can't be transported by movers. Also, canned food is a pain to pack and transport. You should finish them off as well.

TLC Moving & Storage Inc D 18 Mar 2012 I called TLC movers hoping to have a good moving experience as... I called TLC movers hoping to have a good moving experience as I was moving to Virginia. It turned out to be a disaster! The person who secured my order had no clue what she was doing. They quoted me a price and then called back several days later to tell me that quote was wrong. It was going to cost me more money. That same person also messed up the moving dates(I requested a 2 day move). Due to time constraints I was pretty much forced to stay with TLC. The movers came and they did work hard and were good guys but I have several pieces of furniture damaged and I am missing some boxes. Overall, the laborers were not the problem. During the move as I was driving to Virginia, the owner of the company became involved and told me that I would NOT be able to use my credit card to pay but I had to pay cash or a bank check.(needless to say I had not been able to set up a bank account in Virginia at the time). So I paid cash and that has set me back to say the least. Overall, the experience moving with TLC was a disaster and I don\'t recommend doing business with this company. I was treated very poorly by the owner. Most of the employees I dealt with were nice (except of course for the person I originally placed the move with). In fact, there were several employees I spoke to who thought the owner is not a good person and treats customers poorly. They could not believe that the owner made me pay cash during the middle of the move. 1.0000

Some of those are very well supported by great vans and tools but not every company is great. Actually very few are able provide quality service.Green Light Moving is one of the very few who has this rare ability. They are among the best and that is because they have some brilliant movers who are experienced, skilled, efficient, and able to take responsibilities, punctual, committed, and well-mannered and focused. I was very impressed with their movers. I was amazed to see them handling my move. I would definitely recommend them. They are worth to hire. 5.0000

A Precision Movers Pat 5 Dec 2011 PLEASE, PLEASE, Please do not use this company if you value yo... PLEASE, PLEASE, Please do not use this company if you value your possessions. They are the worst moving company I have ever dealt with. They overcharge for everything and then rob you blind! Every piece of furniture was damaged and most broken (est $6200.00 in damages just for furniture), not to mention that several items were missing. They stole my $500.00 KitchenAid mixer as well as other expensive items. They underpay the men so I guess they feel your items are for their taking. I had sealed boxes that when opened had empty soda and juice containers in them? They certainly weren\'t mine because I did not pack such items. So, they ransacked my belongings and took what they wanted. Must have pulled the tags off and claimed them as their own. There is no other explaination for this robbery. On top of that, you can never get ahold of anyone that is in authority so you never get a straight answer. How does such a company stay in business? Word of advice, go to uhaul, rent a truck and pay some men to help you! 1.0000

Based on my last experience with them, I would not use them again nor, would I recommend their service to anyone else. In my last move, based on looking at the contents of the storage unit, I received an estimate from one of their reps (Mike Woods). Despite this, my move came in $1000 over the original estimate. During the process, Mike did not return my phone calls or let me know about the final amount or date and time of delivery until 3:30 pm the Friday before my Monday am delivery date. Communication was unprofessional . I was expected to have a money order for the final amount at the time of delivery and this left me very little time to make these arrangements. When I disputed the cost and demanded a reweigh of the freight, I was told to write a check for the highest amount of the estimate (which was still within a $500 range), and told that he would “work out the rest with Arpin (the trucking company) later.” Three months later, after the move was complete and paid in full, they contacted me demanding I pay an additional $500. After much back and forth negotiation and constant bullying and scare tactics, they were still unwilling to budge or listen to my complaints. They even threatened that if I was not willing to make payment arrangements, they would send it to collections and I would then be responsible for paying $7500 back (instead of the $500 owed), which was the supposed 64% “discount” I received on the move. 1.0000
