Registering In a New State When you’re moving long distance, you should prioritize what items should be packed first amongst other considerations. Registering your car is also something to be aware of since you’ll assumedly be crossing into another state. Remember that each state has its own set of rules in terms of vehicle registration and tags, so be sure to research it prior to your move. Moving Pets by Plane This may seem obvious, but you should try to book a direct flight for your pet to minimize the time your pet spends sitting outside. Some of the times you will need to have handy in order to transport your pet include a health certificate from the vet and a pet container. Some airlines offer their own container which meets airline regulations. Be sure to check with your airline of choice beforehand. Also, a good way to reassure and comfort your pet for the flight is by giving it something you wear, such as an old sweater.
Save Money, Eat In Moving takes a lot of time, especially packing. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't take some time to cook your own food. Eating fast food can be expensive, particularly if you're doing it day after day. This is also the best time for you to eat all of your frozen food given that perishable items can't be transported by movers. Also, canned food is a pain to pack and transport. You should finish them off as well.

Based on my last experience with them, I would not use them again nor, would I recommend their service to anyone else. In my last move, based on looking at the contents of the storage unit, I received an estimate from one of their reps (Mike Woods). Despite this, my move came in $1000 over the original estimate. During the process, Mike did not return my phone calls or let me know about the final amount or date and time of delivery until 3:30 pm the Friday before my Monday am delivery date. Communication was unprofessional . I was expected to have a money order for the final amount at the time of delivery and this left me very little time to make these arrangements. When I disputed the cost and demanded a reweigh of the freight, I was told to write a check for the highest amount of the estimate (which was still within a $500 range), and told that he would “work out the rest with Arpin (the trucking company) later.” Three months later, after the move was complete and paid in full, they contacted me demanding I pay an additional $500. After much back and forth negotiation and constant bullying and scare tactics, they were still unwilling to budge or listen to my complaints. They even threatened that if I was not willing to make payment arrangements, they would send it to collections and I would then be responsible for paying $7500 back (instead of the $500 owed), which was the supposed 64% “discount” I received on the move. 1.0000

The owner, Dan, tries to bilk you of extra money at every chance. Once they got my belongings to my new home, Dan wanted $2,000 more than the original price. When I said I wouldn\'t pay any extra, he threatened to have the moving men stay until I agreed to the new price. I said I would call the police because they were trespassing, and he finally backed down. He was verbally abusive, nasty, and even refused to back his own employee\'s estimate. It was a horrible experience! 1.0000
