Clean Out the Fridge Have you taken care of your refrigerator? Remember, you need to empty, defrost, and clean it out before the movers can load it. Stocking Up On Supplies You can find commercial moving supplies almost anywhere, from your local drugstores and supermarkets to moving storage buildings and truck rental places. Make sure to stock up on packing tape, boxes, box-cutters, labels, packing peanuts, and bubble wrap. Oftentimes, you can sell back any extra boxes or items you have left over.
Accidents on the Road Most moving companies have a claim form that you can fill out in the event of any possible damages your belongings may have sustained during transit.
Moving Your Waterbed Before you move your waterbed, it may be in your best interest to invest in a protection plan in case it suffers any damage during transit. You'll want to drain the waterbed mattress with a drain pump, or if you're pressed for time, an electric pump which can deflate a waterbed mattress in half an hour. The time it takes to drain is contingent on what type of mattress you have and the water pressure. Once that's done, make sure you fold it from head to foot and pack it away in a carton. Make sure that there isn't anything inside that could potentially puncture it.

I just wanted to take a minute to sincerely thank you guys for providing us with the best moving experience I have had in my life. I have moved 5 times in the past 7 years and I wish I had called you guys the last 4 times. The guys were hard working but also enjoyable to spend the day with. I will definitely recommend A1A Coastal to anyone I know will be moving. I would also like to thank Rob the crew lead who was most helpful. Thank you especially for moving our pool table upstairs in the game room, an experience none of us will soon forget. I moved from Orange City to Daytona Beach on Saturday 6/19/10. They do not return calls,emails, or voicemails. They have lost or misplaced over 3k worth of my property. Almost every piece that showed up was damaged. They do not post any info on how to make a claim, they are rip off artists. There\'s got to be something that can be done to protect the consumer from doing buisness with them. I spend most of my nights wondering if my stuff has been sold or auctioned off. They refuse to provide me with my inventory sheets which its stated in the contract that I am entitled to. I have filed complaints with the BBB, and am about to contact a attourny to see if there is anything I can do to get my things back. I am now going to contact the travel section for the US Army and ensure these people are black listed from our system. Not going to let them do this to another soldier.. 1.0000
