Taking Inventory Taking inventory is a great way of organizing and managing all of the different tasks you have to keep track of, and if you format it in a checklist style, you can easily separate the things you have yet to do and what you’ve already completed. Also, make note of the conditions of your belongings so that you have something to refer to once your belongings have been transported to your new home.
For Containers Only Pack your containers accordingly by sealing any open containers to prevent spilling. If you have any ceramic containers, make sure to remove the lids and wrap them separately, especially since they’re so fragile. You should make sure that any liquids that you’re transporting aren’t toxic, corrosive, or flammable.
Packing Your Kitchen Kitchen appliances and utensils can be sharp or blunt, and you should cover your bases when you’re packing these items. One great precautionary measure you can take is by using bubble wrap to protect these items during transit. If you’re saving your bubble wrap for more fragile items, you can use hand towels to wrap them individually.

We booked On Up Movers several weeks prior to moving for 9:00am on Saturday. The night before the move they called to ask if we could change it to 6:00am. We told them we wouldn\'t be ready, but could do it at 8:00am. When they didn\'t show by 9:00am we called them. They claimed they called us back the night before and re-scheduled us to 3:30. Well, 3:30 came and went and still they didn\'t show up. We called and left several messages, but no one returned our calls. We in quite a pickle without having the help we had depended on to move the heavy objects. By 5:00, their answering machine wouldn\'t accept messages any longer. We gave up and had to scramble to find replacement movers at the last minute which was a total nightmare. We called them on Monday and asked why they never showed up and were told that they got busy with other moves. We can\'t believe that they would leave someone high and dry without even a phone call to let us know they weren\'t coming. We don\'t want this to happen to anyone else, so we are placing as many reviews as we can on the internet. Do not trust this moving company!!! 1.0000

I had a semi-complicated scenario because I needed to move furniture back and forth between two residences. The 3 movers arrived a few minutes early, which was great because I had elevators reserved in both buildings. They moved the items swiftly and efficiently. We did not get charged extra fees for packing materials. I love a deal and I love great service. I had my expectations exceeded with Modern Movers. I was pleasantly surprised that they helped the move go very smoothly and efficiently while being careful with all of our items. I would use them again in a heartbeat. 5.0000
