Moving Musical Instruments Your musical instruments should be cleaned before packing. If you have any instruments that can be disassembled into individual parts such as a detachable mouthpiece, be sure to do so. Also, consider investing in a hard case for your instrument. Soft cases are great for carrying instruments, but the sturdier hard cases are better for loading and damage prevention.
Packing Your Table Lamps When packing your table lamp, make sure you have an adequately sized box to accommodate it. If you can't find a carton that fits the size of your lamp, a dishpack carton will work as a substitute. Make sure you line the bottom of the box you're using with enough cushioning. So before you start packing your table lamp, remove the bulb and the lampshade. Wrap the lamp's cord around the base. Avoid using packing tape as it may strip the paint or outer coating of your lamp. Afterwards, cover the lamp in bubble wrap and fold over the edges on the top and bottom before you tape. Put the lamp in the box and fill any spaces with extra bubble wrap to prevent shifting during transit.
Save Money, Eat In Moving takes a lot of time, especially packing. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't take some time to cook your own food. Eating fast food can be expensive, particularly if you're doing it day after day. This is also the best time for you to eat all of your frozen food given that perishable items can't be transported by movers. Also, canned food is a pain to pack and transport. You should finish them off as well.
Moving Out of Your Apartment? Regardless of whether or not you're on a month-to-month lease, you should give an official written notice of your move-out date at least a month in advance. This is standard procedure and it can give you and your landlord sufficient time to settle matters such as your security deposit. If you're on a full-term lease, you may be liable for an early termination penalty. If it's possible, schedule your move-out date around the same time as the end of your lease to avoid paying for the penalty.

AAA Movers ON UP MOVERS - Sarasota, Bradenton, Venice, Florida 10 Nov 2011 We booked On Up Movers several weeks prior to moving for 9:00a... We booked On Up Movers several weeks prior to moving for 9:00am on Saturday. The night before the move they called to ask if we could change it to 6:00am. We told them we wouldn\'t be ready, but could do it at 8:00am. When they didn\'t show by 9:00am we called them. They claimed they called us back the night before and re-scheduled us to 3:30. Well, 3:30 came and went and still they didn\'t show up. We called and left several messages, but no one returned our calls. We in quite a pickle without having the help we had depended on to move the heavy objects. By 5:00, their answering machine wouldn\'t accept messages any longer. We gave up and had to scramble to find replacement movers at the last minute which was a total nightmare. We called them on Monday and asked why they never showed up and were told that they got busy with other moves. We can\'t believe that they would leave someone high and dry without even a phone call to let us know they weren\'t coming. We don\'t want this to happen to anyone else, so we are placing as many reviews as we can on the internet. Do not trust this moving company!!! 1.0000
