Packing Your Bathroom When you’re packing your bathroom, make sure you don’t end up putting your essential toiletries away in the box as well. Keep your toothbrush, soap, and shampoo in a separate bag or container so you can use it when you need it. Packing Your Table Lamps When packing your table lamp, make sure you have an adequately sized box to accommodate it. If you can't find a carton that fits the size of your lamp, a dishpack carton will work as a substitute. Make sure you line the bottom of the box you're using with enough cushioning. So before you start packing your table lamp, remove the bulb and the lampshade. Wrap the lamp's cord around the base. Avoid using packing tape as it may strip the paint or outer coating of your lamp. Afterwards, cover the lamp in bubble wrap and fold over the edges on the top and bottom before you tape. Put the lamp in the box and fill any spaces with extra bubble wrap to prevent shifting during transit. Packing Your Lamp Shadees Your lamp shades should be packed in a separate box from your lamps. Avoid using newspaper as stuffing material as the ink may cause stains on your shades. Use clean packing paper or bubble wrap to protect your lamp shades' linings. Try stacking your lamp shades into a single, large carton with packing material between each. Helping Your Dog Adjust Unlike your other pets, your dog will probably welcome a change in environment. That's why it's so important for you to walk your dog as soon as you arrive. This is the ideal time for your dog to familiarize itself with the new neighborhood. You can take this opportunity to establish certain boundaries in terms of streets and traffic.
