Registering In a New State When you’re moving long distance, you should prioritize what items should be packed first amongst other considerations. Registering your car is also something to be aware of since you’ll assumedly be crossing into another state. Loading the Trailer If you’re loading your boxes into a truck, be sure to get the heavier items inside first and the lighter items towards the back of the truck. This will prevent your truck from being unbalanced. Also, load the truck a quarter at a time and fit everything as tightly together as possible. Measuring Doorways Your new home may look nice and comfy, but there are some things you should keep in mind before you move in. One such detail is the width of your doorways. Be sure to measure them so you can figure out whether or not you can move your furniture and appliances in without any difficulty.
