Your Relocation List Once you’ve decided that you’ll be moving, it’s time to plan out your steps by making a list. In the same vein as a to-do list, you should start separating different tasks such as packing order, contacting your primary care provider, transferring records, discontinuing utilities, and everything else by a weekly breakdown. Don’t be afraid to add more things as you go along, and by the time moving day arrives, you’ll be prepared to move in without any reservations as to whether or not you’ve missed any crucial details.
Open Lines of Communication You should always have open lines of communication with your driver and moving coordinator in order to provide loading details, and whether or not the client still intends on moving everything on the estimate. Be sure to have your phone turned off late on moving day or better yet, late the next day.
Helping the Kids Adjust Kids can have a lot of difficulty adjusting to the idea of moving. You can make the process enjoyable for the kids by planning and packing with them. If it's possible, give them a blueprint or a sketch of their new rooms. Ask your kids what they would like to do with their rooms like colors and designs. Sit down and go through their toys. Let your kids decide what they want to keep and what they want to throw away. By getting them involved, your kids will not only feel better, they might even be enthused about living in a new place.

We were doing a major renovation and needed to get our furniture out, to a storage unit several blocks away. Should have been easy.I saw their ad in the yellow pages,an attractive ad showing a photo of two young sturdy \"students\". When they arrived, they were two old, skinny guys who looked (and acted) like drug addicts. They took forever,they refused to lift boxes that I, a lady in my 50s lifted, and they tried to charge my husband a huge extra fee beyond their quote, which he refused to pay. All of us - my husband, son, daughter, and I- had to help out to get the job done. My son returned from an overnight trip, left his suitcase on the steps and started lifting boxes and furniture. They stole his suitcase. NEVER use them. 1.0000

If you have to move in and around the New Orleans area, you should use Lefty\'s Moving Service. I would recommend them to anyone without hesitation. Pat and her crew were fantastic. They were able to accommodate our timing, moved our things safely and quickly, were very pleasant, and worked hard the whole time they were here. We looked into other moving services in the area, and they were charging the same hourly rate for 2 guys that Lefty\'s charged for 4! Using Lefty\'s was an excellent experience that I plan to repeat the next time that I move. 5.0000
