Moving Musical Instruments Your musical instruments should be cleaned before packing. If you have any instruments that can be disassembled into individual parts such as a detachable mouthpiece, be sure to do so. Also, consider investing in a hard case for your instrument. Soft cases are great for carrying instruments, but the sturdier hard cases are better for loading and damage prevention. Separating Boxes Be sure to separate any boxes you plan on transporting yourself and mark “Do Not Load” so your movers will know. Packing Your Mirrors Packing mirrors require special attention.
