Packing Crystal and Glassware Every piece of crystal and glassware should be individually covered with bubble wrap. If you pack more than one piece of crystal or glassware into a single box, go ahead and use dividers to prevent your items from bumping into each other during transit. You should also cushion the bottom of the box with a layer of materials such as extra bubble wrap or packing peanuts. Padded dish boxes work very well for transporting crystal or glassware. Be sure to mark “Fragile” and “This Side Up” on the box for the movers. Moving Your Pool Table The difference between a piano and a pool table is that the latter can be disassembled. Avoid using newspaper as stuffing material as the ink may cause stains on your shades. Use clean packing paper or bubble wrap to protect your lamp shades' linings. Try stacking your lamp shades into a single, large carton with packing material between each. Helping Your Dog Adjust Unlike your other pets, your dog will probably welcome a change in environment. That's why it's so important for you to walk your dog as soon as you arrive. This is the ideal time for your dog to familiarize itself with the new neighborhood. You can take this opportunity to establish certain boundaries in terms of streets and traffic.
