Moving Kits Once you’ve decided to move, you should look into moving kits for the supplies you need. More often than not, moving kits are offered at discount rates. If you were to purchase these items individually, you would end up spending more and possibly, missing some supplies. A moving kit is a great way of getting everything you need to move at a great price. Open Lines of Communication You should always have open lines of communication with your driver and moving coordinator in order to provide loading details, and whether or not the client still intends on moving everything on the estimate. Preparing Pots and Pans for Moving Although pots and pans vary in size, you can usually nest about three of each together in a single carton. Make sure you have large enough pieces of packing paper to cover the entire interior of your largest pan and leave some cushioning on the bottom of the crate. The first pot or pan you place inside the box should be the smallest in size. The pan or pot should be upside down with several sheets of packing paper on top of it before you stack the next one. Once you've stacked three, fill the spaces with packing material to prevent shifting. Moving Your Armoire Armoires can serve in several different capacities, to house your television and entertainment center, a storage space for kitchen appliances, or as an additional compartment for your clothes. No matter what you choose to use it for, you should figure out exactly where you'll have the armoire situated before you move in. Check to see if it will be blocking any heating vents or cold-air returns and make sure that it won't be in the path of any door swings.
