Holiday Moving Woes
Moving during the holidays can be a depressing affair. You and you family may miss the familiar surroundings, people, and annual celebrations. There are several steps you can take to mitigate the emotional distance and feeling of loss you're experiencing. One method is by keeping familiar things around you, say objects from your loved ones around. Hang up ornaments your mother passed on to you. Also, getting out of the house can be very therapeutic. Stocking Up On Supplies
You can find commercial moving supplies almost anywhere, from your local drugstores and supermarkets to moving storage buildings and truck rental places. Make sure to stock up on packing tape, boxes, box-cutters, labels, packing peanuts, and bubble wrap. Oftentimes, you can sell back any extra boxes or items you have left over.
Taking Out Shelves
Anything with shelves should be removed from their respective pieces of furniture before you move. This includes bookcases, television stands, curio and china cabinets, and hutches. Be sure to keep your shelf pins together in the same plastic bag once you're done.

Make sure you settle any debts and outstanding bills you may have with local businesses before you leave.
