Packing Crystal and Glassware Every piece of crystal and glassware should be individually covered with bubble wrap. If you pack more than one piece of crystal or glassware into a single box, go ahead and use dividers to prevent your items from bumping into each other during transit. You should also cushion the bottom of the box with a layer of materials such as extra bubble wrap or packing peanuts. Padded dish boxes work very well for transporting crystal or glassware. Be sure to mark “Fragile” and “This Side Up” on the box for the movers. Separating Boxes Be sure to separate any boxes you plan on transporting yourself and mark “Do Not Load” so your movers will know. Moving Your Computer Tower The desktop’s CPU tower should never be packed on its side; rather it should be loaded upright. Placing the motherboard on its side may potentially loosen the interior cards during the move. Number by Priority One way of prioritizing your items for the move is by assigning numbers from most important to least important. Mark a 1 on all of your boxes that contain items you need immediately or on a regular basis. You should mark a 2 on boxes that have items you won't be using right away, but possibly within a month or so such as books and movies. A 3 should be assigned to seasonal items, and 4 for the items meant for storage.
