Packing Your Wine Collection If you’re a wine connoisseur and own a sizeable wine collection, you should consider these steps if you’re moving. It’s a good idea to have a professional appraise your collection if you believe it to be high-value. Purchasing wine-packing boxes is a good idea to safely transport your collection. Remember to always pack your wine on the side. Once you’ve moved into your new home, wait up to seven days for your wine to rest before you open a bottle. Transporting Medicine Before you pack your medicine for moving, seal all of the caps with masking tape. Naturally, your medicine bottles should be packed in an upright position. For certain drugs such as insulin, exposure to heat can cause it to lose potency. Talk to your pharmacist and inquire about what measures you can take to prevent this. It's recommended that you transport your own medication.
