Stocking Up On Supplies You can find commercial moving supplies almost anywhere, from your local drugstores and supermarkets to moving storage buildings and truck rental places. Make sure to stock up on packing tape, boxes, box-cutters, labels, packing peanuts, and bubble wrap. Oftentimes, you can sell back any extra boxes or items you have left over. Economize Your Space A great way of lending yourself more space to work with while packing is by using a cleared table or a countertop for your packed boxes. Be sure to group them according to which room the items are meant for. Open Lines of Communication You should always have open lines of communication with your driver and moving coordinator in order to provide loading details, and whether or not the client still intends on moving everything on the estimate. Be sure to have your phone turned off late on moving day or better yet, late the next day. Preparing Pots and Pans for Moving Although pots and pans vary in size, you can usually nest about three of each together in a single carton. Make sure you have large enough pieces of packing paper to cover the entire interior of your largest pan and leave some cushioning on the bottom of the crate. The first pot or pan you place inside the box should be the smallest in size. The pan or pot should be upside down with several sheets of packing paper on top of it before you stack the next one. Once you've stacked three, fill the spaces with packing material to prevent shifting.
