They were very nice when they came out to give us an estimate 3 weeks before we moved. My girlfriend and I thought it was a reasonable estimate so we decided to make an appointment with them for Saturday September 24. They said they would be at our place between 9-9:30. They did not show up all day and could not be reached at the office! If you\\\\\\\'re looking for a reliable moving company I suggest not using Carey Allied.

Quote was off by 2000.00, and packers did not show... unexper...
Quote was off by 2000.00, and packers did not show... unexperienced labor came out and did the packing or i should say, threw into boxes. Salesman talked a good talk, but did not return calls.
Many item were broken and damaged. Will not use again or reccomend

Beware of these theives. When you call to get pricing they quote $89 an hour. Then, after you\'ve scheduled your move with them, they call you the day before the move (when its really too late to go with someone else at that point) they inform you that they have a 2 hour minimum labor charge AND they charge an extra hour on top of that for \'travel time\' they also mumble something at the very end of the call and very quickly so you can\'t absorb what they are saying that they will also add a \'fuel surcharge\' to your bill. So moving day comes and after all your belongings have been packed up into the truck and taken to the destination and unloaded you get handed the bill and it has a SEVENTEEN PERCENT fuel surcharge added to it!! Then when you call to complain the owner acts like an arrogant jerk and hangs up on you after using foul language. I will never use these crooks again and I would suggest to anyone looking for a mover to make sure ALL the pricing is quoted to you up front, including any minimum labor hours, extra charges, fuel surcharges, etc.

I don\'t know what those other people were talking about when they gave these guys bad reviews but I did notice that the only ones who wrote bad reviews were people who never actually had them move their furniture. As a business owner myself, I have a policy about working with rude or nasty customers. I don\'t! If they had they would see that these guys really care about your stuff as if it were theirs. They wrapped every piece and took the time to make sure it was all loaded correctly. I called Upstate Movers after my \"friends\" failed to show up to help me. To tell you the truth, I\'m glad they didn\'t show because they would have destroyed my new bedroom set which is solid oak. These movers carried the set up to the 3rd floor like it was made of styrofoam! Then they put it all back together without being asked. They were lifesavers when I was in a pinch and the pinnacle of professionalism. I didn\'t realize it until the end, but one of the movers was actually the owner!
