For your daily clothes that you wear at home, you can simply fold and put them in plastic or vacuum-sealed bags. For your work clothes and more expensive garments, you should consider purchasing wardrobe boxes with hanging bars. Protective plastic covers are also a good investment for jackets and dresses. Oil Paintings Oil paintings require special handling when you move. Be sure to use non-acidic plastic wrap for the painting before wrapping it again with protective material such as bubble wrap. And just to make sure your painting is well-protected during transit, get a picture box to pack it in. Moving Your Fish It's important not to feed your fish for several days prior to the move. This is to insure that your pets' digestive systems are cleared and won't contaminate the water; fish tend to excrete a lot when they're stressed. Have a large cooler prepared for transporting your fish in their respective plastic baggies. Make sure to secure the bags with rubber bands.
