Registering In a New State When you’re moving long distance, you should prioritize what items should be packed first amongst other considerations. Registering your car is also something to be aware of since you’ll assumedly be crossing into another state. Remember that each state has its own set of rules in terms of vehicle registration and tags, so be sure to research it prior to your move. That way, you can take the necessary steps once you’re there. Your Relocation List Once you’ve decided that you’ll be moving, it’s time to plan out your steps by making a list. In the same vein as a to-do list, you should start separating different tasks such as packing order, contacting your primary care provider, transferring records, discontinuing utilities, and everything else by a weekly breakdown. Don’t be afraid to add more things as you go along, and by the time moving day arrives, you’ll be prepared to move in without any reservations as to whether or not you’ve missed any crucial details. Brokers for the Best Deals With their database of moving companies, moving brokers that are operating on a nationwide scale can often insure that you get discount moving company rates for your move. Many brokers often offer free moving quotes and compiled lists of moving companies in major cities and areas for you to search through at your leisure. So before you start making any definitive decisions on which carrier to hire, invest a little time with a moving broker and see what comes up. Chances are, you’ll find a deal you wouldn’t have found otherwise. Open Lines of Communication You should always have open lines of communication with your driver and moving coordinator in order to provide loading details, and whether or not the client still intends on moving everything on the estimate. Be sure to have your phone turned off late on moving day or better yet, late the next day.

This company is a total scam!! They lie to you every step of the way. They showed up 6 days late and would NEVER return any of my calls when I was trying to find out where my stuff was!!When they finally arrived without notice, they demanded cash from me for the whole amount even though it was on a Sunday and the banks were closed. They also did not honor their contract with me and added to my bill hundreds of more dollars but I had no choice but to pay them what they wanted because they threatened to leave with my furniture if I didn't. They are a complete NIGHTMARE!!

This company does not honor their contracts, show up 3 days late and lie continously about where your items are. They destroyed 2 tables, stole power tools and overcharged $1350 for "extras" that we never requested. I only gave them a one star because zero is not possible.
