Removing the Weights in a Grandfather Clock If you canít afford to hire a clock specialist to service your grandfather clock, you can carefully remove the weights yourself. You should always don cotton gloves before you change/remove anything inside the clock. Remove the weights piece by piece and note each of their respective positions so you can reinstall them in the correct order. If the weights are suspended by cables, break off an adequately-sized piece of Styrofoam, cut a slit through the middle, and fit the Styrofoam around the pulley. This way, it'll prevent any damage your pulleys may receive during transit. Afterwards, remove the weights.
Removing Your Bicycle's Chains It's recommended that you disassemble your bicycle into its individual parts before moving. The process of removing your bike's cables is simple. You'll want to take the cables out of the bike's stops. In order to slacken the brake cables, undo the releases on the arms or at the levers depending on what kind of bicycle you have. You can slacken the shifting cables by putting chain in the big cog combo before shifting down. Once all of the cables have been removed, you can disassemble the rest of the bike.
Transporting Medicine Before you pack your medicine for moving, seal all of the caps with masking tape. Naturally, your medicine bottles should be packed in an upright position. For certain drugs such as insulin, exposure to heat can cause it to lose potency. Talk to your pharmacist and inquire about what measures you can take to prevent this. It's recommended that you transport your own medication.
Moving Into the City If you're moving into an urban environment for the first time, there are a few things you should be prepared for. Parking is one factor you should take into consideration. If you're relocating to a dense city where parking is typically a premium, be sure to check in advance about any restrictions you may encounter on moving day. Also, if you're moving into an apartment complex, you should keep security in mind. Leaving the door propped open can pose a risk to your neighbors.

This man Mark at Angel movers agreed to move our 1 bedroom apartment and storage unit for 600.oo Did our storage and got 3/4 done. Told my husband he needed 4 of the 600.00 and he would be back on Saturday to complete the job. Said he was a \" trustworthy business man, a man of his word, true to his handshake\". What a crock, called on Saturday morning at 7am to confirm, only to be met with attitude for calling so early. He cursed us out, said he wasn\'t doing this job and hung up!!! Left us high and dry with no mover!! And took 400$ for doing only part of our storage. A liar and a cheat, not to be trusted, keep your money in your pocket! 1.0000

A 1 Movers Trevorling 26 Nov 2011 Do I even have to put a star? This business operates on borde... Do I even have to put a star? This business operates on borderline fraudulence. I asked the owner, specifically, \"From the time the movers arrive to the time they leave the destination after unpacking, it is $50 per hour and $25 for the truck?\" \"Yes,\" he said. I asked if there were extra fees, and he said no. The day of the move, the movers arrive 1.5 HOURS LATE. I had told him two days in a row, and he had confirmed, that they would arrive at 11. He said he had noon down. When the movers arrive, they show me the contract. DOUBLE the hours from pick up to ARRIVAL at the destination and an extra hour for stairs since I live on the second floor (after I told him after HE asked me what floor I was on). Then I was informed that the door on the back of the truck had fallen off...this is what the owner sent, a truck where my items could potentially fall out. The actual movers were nice. The OWNER is rude and apathetic. I\'m telling everyone to avoid them. BTW, 14 complaints at the BBB. 1.0000

Latin Movers Mad About Delay 11 Nov 2011 They came recommended by our realtor so I thought I would give... They came recommended by our realtor so I thought I would give them a try. After a first phone call I wasn\'t very impressed but was still willing to go forward based on our realtor\'s recommendation. It took several days to get a return phone call and set up the move. We finally had a date and time confirmed, but they DID NOT SHOW UP! Nor did they call to let us know they were running late. When we called they asked to postpone the entire move by a day, coming two hours earlier (not convenient) and with an extra man at our expense. We hired someone else. 1.0000
