We had Jim come in and give us a estimate. I specifically asked him how many packers would come, if we had our own flat screen TV boxed would the company pack them and if their employees would be doing the work. He told me that they would send one ore two packers. I stated to him the I wanted 2 packers to finish the job because I did not want them their until 9pm and I had finished what I was going to pack. On the day of the packing they sent one old man. He was slow and only packed the kitchen and bathrooms. He left about 40% of the house unpacked, the truck was coming the next day. I called the office and told them how slow he was & needed help. They did not sent any help and the next day when the truck showed up no one to help finish packing. My husband & I had to pack while they were loading. This is a big mistake as they loaded things that were not pack, did not get numbers on the box and did not pack things correctly. The company also said that we were going to have to pay extra for them to pack or TV even though the contract stated that it was included on the price. The manager was terrible. Jim seemed so confused, was no help. They did not finish the load until 9:30 pm and I had told Jim that I did not want that to happen. When we had the truck unload at the other end the front of the truck had been packed tight but the back had not and cause things to shift and rub against other items. This lead to damage. We also found a number of things that were household items just thrown in the truck. I would not use the San Antonio A-1 again.

I had a move on Saturday November 5th 2011 & i cant imagine a company staying in buisness after their performance they had no manners they over charged me & when i asked them 2 pack they said they dont pack! What kind of moving company dosent pack i will NEVER USE THIS MOVING COMPANY AGAIN THEY ARE THE WORST! The driver was on the phone half the time! they didnt wrapp my furniture as they said they would on the phone! these guys are theives!!!!!

This company is awful and I would not recommend them to anyone. They are a total rip off. I hired them to move me and they showed up an hour late. The guys that were sent to move me were texting on their cell phones, taking unnecessary breaks, moving one small item at a time and moving very slowly. They did not hook up my washer, dryer or refrigerator and they damage some of my items. what was supposed to be a $210 bill ended up being $530. I spoke with the owner of the company, he said he would send them back out to my house to complete the job and it never happened. I\'ve tried calling them several times and have left message after message and they all go unanswered. Please DO NOT HIRE this company, you\'ll be so sorry.

Moving companies are sometimes kind of shady but after using these people I have to say I have faith in them again. Very nice to deal with. Quick and easy to get a quote (a decent one too) and the actual move was about as seemless as it gets. Thanks guys!!

Yes, we did arrive about 30 minutes early...shame on us. You were not packed and 30 minutes was not going to change that fact. We said that we would start moving the items that were ready to go (furniture) and boxes that were packed. We DID NOT MARK ANY of your boxes...you placed pink tape on boxes that went to storage and any others went to the house. I guess you forgot to mention that this move went \"out of town\" and you did not go to the \"out of town\" location to complete the move. When we 1) go \"out of town\" 2) unload into a storage unit and 3) are not accompanied by the customer to the unload location...Yes, we get the cash before we leave.
At the unload location we were directed by the young guy/kid (around 18-20 years old I would guess) to unload things as they were. That house was disgusting...filled with counted cats trapped in different rooms with an overwhelming stench that made us gag. These were the worst conditions I had ever seen when it comes to \"pets\" being kept in a house. The rugs had all been ripped out to try to remove some of the smell, but it did nothing to relive the eye burning conditions. The dog that was inside was trying to jump in our truck to get away I think. I am actually going to call Animal Control in that County to see what they can do to remedy the situation. The young man told us to keep the $10 as a tip...trust me, those coniditions were not compensated by a mere $10.00.
