Using the original boxes is often your best option because the boxes are already fitted for the specific dimensions of your electronics. Packing Your Lamp Shadees Your lamp shades should be packed in a separate box from your lamps. Avoid using newspaper as stuffing material as the ink may cause stains on your shades. Use clean packing paper or bubble wrap to protect your lamp shades' linings. Try stacking your lamp shades into a single, large carton with packing material between each. Preparing Your Antiques for Moving First and foremost, you should have your antiques appraised by a qualified party. Before you have your movers transport your antiques, clean your valuables with appropriate products specifically designed for cleaning antiques. You can find these at antique, furniture, or hardware stores. Don't hesitate to give your movers directions on the proper care and handling your antiques require.
