Settling Bills Make sure you settle any debts and outstanding bills you may have with local businesses before you leave.
Economize Your Space A great way of lending yourself more space to work with while packing is by using a cleared table or a countertop for your packed boxes. Be sure to group them according to which room the items are meant for.
Moving Your Antiques There are several reputable moving companies out there geared towards moving antiques. However, you can get the same assurance in terms of accommodations for shipping fragile belongings with any mover. This requires a little effort on your part to inquire about what specific measures they have for shipping antiques. Make sure to clearly mark which items require special handling and attention for your movers.
Accidents on the Road Most moving companies have a claim form that you can fill out in the event of any possible damages your belongings may have sustained during transit.

Starving Students Inc Ben 25 Aug 2011 The North Hollywood branch of Starving Students moving company... The North Hollywood branch of Starving Students moving company recently “helped” my wife and I move from our home in one side of the Valley to the other. I chose the company because I knew the brand, respected the business model (they started small and still reflect a community spirit) and, as most people agree, their prices were reasonable. Nonetheless, things took a turn for the worse when we arrived at our new home. Furniture, including lamps, a dresser and a brand new crib purchased just months ago for the arrival of our newborn son and other items were significantly damaged beyond repair in the move. We were in shock, needless to say, when we saw what had happened to our things, but nothing could have prepared us for the reaction we got from the so-called “supervisors.” “Be glad you got insurance,” he told us, smugly, without one hint of regret or apology or accountability. With my wife and two children nearby, I tried to confront him about what had happened and his next response was even more shocking: “Everyone makes mistakes, even God. Look at your wife, for example,” he said. This was by far the most sexist and irresponsible individual I’ve ever come across and he deserves to have his “moving credentials” stripped for life because he has put an otherwise fair and decent business at risk. It is true: “accidents happen,” and mistakes are made. However, this man is clearly not someone who should be leading a crew of “experts” who have been put in charge of handling someone’s personal belongings. In fact, we were told by this “supervisor’s” crewmembers that this individual has a history of abusing customers and that they would like to see him leave the company for good. I urge anyone contemplating a move to avoid Starving Students, at least the North Hollywood office, at all costs. Our insurance claim is pending and likely it will be approved. We will be able to replace our damaged items. We are fortunate in that respect. But the larger issue here is about respect: Had my wife and two children not been close by, I don’t know that I would have let this poor excuse of a human walk away without a physical reminder of the value of not only respecting the customer, but all of human kind, including women and God. Boycott this company like the plague! 1.0000

They did not make a high value inventory, I have 5 computer they only put 2 on the paper work. Only 2 of the 5 showed up at my house working! then they took apart my children\'s bunk beds, a [5 and 2 year old] they NEVER finished putting them back together! they hid the rest of the screws and wood in a closet! PLEASE do not use these people! when you try to claim things you lost they tell you it wasnt on the \"inventory\"!!! 1.0000
